Memo The Mobile-First Company – May 2025

If We Don’t Double Down Now, We’ll Lose a Giant Opportunity

We’re seeing a rare combination: product-market fit, innovative distribution strategy, and a generational shift in buyer behavior. In just 4 months, we’ve reached €300K in ARR, with a CAC under $80 and a payback in 6 months. Most founders dream of finding something that works.

We’ve already found it.

But competition is raising $20M+ and burning fast. If we don’t double down now, we lose the chance to build something much bigger: the mobile-first ERP that replaces today’s oligopolies.

The window is open but not for long.

We started with Voice, it’s time to move faster, deeper.

This memo explains why we’re building a platform, and why we need to accelerate, now.

1. The Opportunity: SMB Software is Broken

That’s the name of the URL you receive, the tools SBMs are using is broken, from distribution, to feature sets.

We called that the OLIGOPOLY, that’s the stack: dominated by aging, desktop-based platforms built for another era. SMBs don’t work like enterprises. They make fast decisions. They operate from their phones.

They need simplicity, affortability, automation, and visibility.

We're building the modern ERP for the new generation of business owners: mobile-first, AI-native, and deeply embedded in their day to day like telephony, invoicing, and payments.

We’re not building for employees behind desks in open spaces. We’re building for business owners on the move: real estate agents, electricians, agencies salespeople, shop owner.

The real economy.

2. Our Strategy: We’re Not Building Apps. We’re Disrupting Oligopolies.

We started with VOICE, the most important tools/channel for Business Owner.

We’re not an APP STUDIO shipping nice productivity tools. We’re targeting unicorns and rebuilding categories with our play.

We go after proven categories with high retention:

  • Telephony (Allô)
  • Expense & Invoice (Q2–Q3)
  • CRM (Q1 2026)
  • Website builders (Q2 2026)

Each product is:

  • Built on deep infra (telecom stack, AI voice, payment)
  • Distributed via media, paid and SEO-led growth loops
  • Supported by shared infrastructure (CRM, Support, Data, user auth, billing)

From the first install, the user know is part of a suite of tools and not a single product.

3. Why This Play Is Hard to Copy

We win on 4 levels:

  • Distribution power: Over 60% of internet traffic is mobile. We convert people where they scroll. CAC is <$80 today — we’re on track to reach < $35. The payback period is 6 months. Our install-to-subscription ratio beats market benchmarks.
“Content is more important than product “

  • Execution velocity: We built Allô with 3 engineers, a designer, and no PM. We fired B players early and built a product that compete with market leaders (Ringover, Aircall, 3CX).
  • Creator-led GTM: Our Head of Community, Alexandre Calvez, left a full-time YouTube career (1M5+ subscribers) to solve a bigger problem: help boring businesses grow. Our GTM engine is made of creators, not marketers, the way we acquire users is unique!
  • Tech complexity: We solve hard tech problem: VOIP, call management, AI voice, payment reconciliation, contact syncing. These are not UI wrappers. These are core product complex to build.

4. Market Timing: Why Now?

  • Generational switch: The average age of entrepreneurs in the U.S. dropped from 40.2 to 36.4. Millennials now own 16% of SMBs. $10T in business value is changing hands as Boomers exit.
  • AI mindset shift: AI tools like ChatGPT and Canva have changed user behavior. SMBs now expect software that automates and simplifies. They are ready to change their workflows by something that feel like magic.
  • Mobile-first usage: SMBs operate on the go. They scroll, discover, and install in minutes. We convert in scroll, then capture intent via search. We don’t need to prospect companies, we need to transform installs into users.
  • Capital race: Competitors are raising $20M+ to win on distribution, with a strategy that is less performing than our. If we don’t move now, we lose visibility. In SMB, whoever is seen, is chosen.

In SMB, there’s no sales cycle, there’s just VISIBILITY.

Business owners don’t compare tools. They install the one they saw.

If we’re not visible when they need us, someone else is.

In SMB, whoever is seen, is chosen.

And visibility is not a channel, it’s a race.

If we don’t move now, we fall behind. Not this quarter, but forever.

5. Why AI Changes Everything

AI is not a feature we added. It’s the lever that transforms our products from "software" into "experiences" and it's the biggest opportunity to equip SMS for the software they will use for the next 10 years.

Legacy platforms were built before AI. They weren’t designed to embed it. You can’t plug ChatGPT into your AT&T phone or QuickBooks. You can’t make your iphone Record Call and send a followup email (sorry Apple Inteligence for making the jobs for you). The stack of the SMS doesn’t allow it.

We’re building software where AI is native. Invisible. Instant. We don’t make you prompt. We just do it.

What does that look like?

  • You take a call → it’s summarized, tagged, and a follow-up draft is ready.
  • You record an expense → it’s categorized, synced, and exported and reimbursed automatically.
  • You customer don’t pay you → the Agent is making sure your are getting paid on time.

We remove steps, frustrations, that Small business owners are spending time at night to catchup on their days. We become a indispensable.

That’s the magic moment SMBs are now trained to expect because ChatGPT, Canva, and Notion showed them what’s possible. Now they want it everywhere. But most tools can’t deliver it.

Our edge:

  • Our investors, Lightspeed is one of the boldest investor in AI at the moment
  • Partnerships like Eleven Labs → give us cost, speed, and quality advantages
  • Native design → we rebuild workflows around AI, not on top of old code.
  • Daily usage → our AI doesn’t impress, it performs. Real ROI.
AI is not an Add-on. It’s a way to build an experience and drive adoption. And we’re building the new stack for small business owner.

6. What We’ve Built (in Just 4 Months)

We’ve proven we can:

  • Build fast → Allô reached 500+ paying companies with a tiny squad (2 dedicated engineer + 1 support engineer)
  • Monetize → €300K ARR, growing 30%+ month-over-month
  • Data driven and ROI Acquisition → CAC <$80, heading toward $35
  • Retain → <5% churn after month 1
  • Expand → Many teams adopt 4+ seats, increasing ACV fast

7. Why We Raise Now

We’re raising to build an ERP, a platform not just ship features.

We will:

  • Grow the tech team to form 2 more squads and ship 2 new products before Q1 2026
  • Invest in Allô as the category leader in mobile-first telephony (Distribution, Reseller program, Teams feature , creator marketing)
  • Strengthen inbound and outbound: we now have leads to call, accounts to upgrade, and ACV to grow
  • Build the U.S. office: we’ve cracked the GTM motion for Latino SMBs in California, Texas, and Florida. Jérémy is ready to relocate (again) in the US and grow the team and customer base. US is our #1 priority !
In 18 months: 4 modules live, 2 best-sellers post PMF, €2M+ ARR per product, and 8,000+ companies on Allô. A team of 25. A real ERP in the making.

8. If We Don’t Move Now

There’s two paths.

We keep building Allô as a strong vertical product. We'll keep growing. It'll be profitable.

Maybe even big.

But we’ll miss the real opportunity: To build the next-generation ERP. To lead the mobile-first wave. To shape how millions of SMBs work every day.

This isn’t a product bet. It’s a visibility race.

If we don’t move now, someone else will take the spot. And in SMB, once you lose the category you don’t come back.

We’re not here to build “a better phone system.”

We’re here to build the software this new generation of business owners expects.

Fast. Mobile. AI-powered. Product-first. Built by people who get them.

And we have one shot to take the lead.

Let’s not waste it.
